This resort is characterized by how its architecture blends in perfect harmony with the environment. At Valmorel, all the cabins are made of wood, stone, and lauze roofing stones. From each residence, you can ski right onto the slopes without having to take off your skis. It is a ski resort without cars where everything was designed for both children and adults.
At the center of the resort, the Bourg-Morel, you will find the lively center of Valmorel which is a pedestrian area. It is a place where people meet and festivities are held with numerous bars, pubs, restaurants, and boutiques.
Altitude: 1400-2550m.

Downhill Skiing:
> The Grand Domaine. It includes Valmorel, Doucy, Combelouvière, and Saint François Longchamp.
1st ski link between Tarentaise and la Maurienne.
152km ski area on 83 runs: 28 green, 32 blue, 15 red, 8 black
54 ski lifts and 220 artificial snow machines.
> The Domaine de Valmorel.
95km ski area on 55 runs: 20 green, 20 blue, 10 red, 5 black
38 ski lifts.
3 areas reserved for beginners.
