In 1946, the villages of Mont de Lans and Vénosc decided to turn their mountainsides into a paradise for winter sports enthusiasts. Alas, Les 2 Alpes was born!
In the heart of the Oisans mountain range just outside of the Ecrins National Park, this resort has an international reputation in part due to its glacier which is the largest in Europe and is open all year round.
At Les 2 Alpes you will find a ski area unlike anything you've ever seen, a wide variety of mountain activities, an extraordinary out of bounds skiing paradise, international events, and much more…
Altitude: 1600-3600m.
Ski area.
Downhill Skiing:
Ski area consisting of 220km of runs between 1300m and 3600m altitude. From beginners to advanced skiers, you will find the right runs for your skill level. The run difficulty is as follows: 11 black, 14 red, 27 blue, 17 green. 54 ski lifts and 78 artificial snow machines.
The resort is linked to the La Grave - La Meije resort. 2150m of vertical drop out of bounds skiing surrounded by beautiful scenery. Skiers should be accompanied by a professional.
In the Toura section at 2600m altitude, you will find a killer freestyle area with a permanent snowpark.
This site is made up of a boardercross, halfpipe 120m long and 4m high, and an area fully equipped and set aside for snow skating.
Cross country skiing: different trails spread out in 3 areas: La Molière, Les Perrons, and La Vallée de Vénéon.
Activities.
Skating rink, snowshoeing, fitness center, skijoring, quads, snowmobiles, paragliding, randonnée skiing, ice cavern, "croisière blanche", ice driving racetrack… all winter long: brass bands, street activities, torchlit ski descent, fireworks and laser shows…
For your evenings: restaurants, bars, night clubs, and casino.
